About Us

Two forty-somethings who got tired of the fast pace and constant race of life in the Washington DC metro area and gave it up for an experiment in full-timing in a small travel trailer, with our beloved dog Juniper along for the adventure.

Before RVing, our favorite times together have been in the backcountry — backpacking, hiking, canoeing.  Of course, the hot showers and comfy beds waiting at home at the end of those trips were also pretty great.  We hope to combine these favorite things  by boondocking as often as possible, spending time exploring remote areas and returning to our fully functional home on wheels.

We’re setting off with no plan, no itinerary and no agenda.  Well, sort of — following good weather is part of the plan, as is satisfying our (well, my) desire to see the desert southwest.  So, throw in good hiking or biking trails and a nice view of the mountains, and we’re there!

Join us at the campfire if you’re in the area!
